CLARK — During the course of the school year, students in both Mr. Taillefer and Miss Bartolomeo’s Language Arts classes at the Carl H. Kumpf Middle School in Clark have discussed the importance of writing as a form of communication and another way to express thoughts and opinions.

One way the students have been increasingly asked to write is on the computer using various forms of electronic media. In order to help develop each student’s voice as a writer and to interact with electronic forms of reading, the class created its own blog.

The class blog is a website that is completely confined to the students in the class. Students are able to log onto the website using their own login information to post responses and comments. Parents are also invited to the class blog. This creates a way for the parents to be involved and connected to their child’s learning and assignments.
