RAHWAY — On Thursday, March 28, the final day of classes before the spring break, Rahway High School staff worked together to raise over $600 for charity while gaining the privilege of wearing jeans. Each staff member donated $5 or more for medical care for four-year old Brooke Healey, a child diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a rare and inoperable brain tumor. Faculty members also wore grey that day to show support since grey is the color for brain cancer awareness. Teacher Donna Gerardo, a friend of Brooke’s family, coordinated this event with the support of the high school administration. To learn more about Brooke’s story, visit  www.brookehealey.com.
