MIDDLESEX – Middlesex resident, Nicola Foti, was named one of the 2013 Walk MS “Most Inspirational Walkers” for the New Jersey Metro’s Walk MS event. On Sunday, April 14 he will cut the ribbon at the 2013 Walk MS in North Brunswick and walk his way to help to create a world free of multiple sclerosis.

Nicola became involved in Walk MS when his best friend Justine was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). Nicola was with Justine at the time she began experiencing visual problems that let her to the emergency room. She was quickly diagnosed with MS at age 20.

A Walk MS team, Team Justine, was formed in honor of Justine to help raise money for critical MS research and to support programs and services for those living with the disease. Nicola did not hesitate to join the team and use his expertise as a content creator for You Tube and his extensive Internet following to help spread MS awareness.

He quickly got busy producing and posting videos about what MS is and what others can do to help those affected by the disease. His efforts have helped grow Team Justine’s fundraising total each year. This year Nicola and Team Justine hope to surpass their fundraising efforts from last year by raising over $1,000 for the 2013 Walk MS event. Nicola says, “I participate in Walk MS every year for Justine. It’s great being around so many people each year that come together in support of those with MS in hopes of ridding the world of this disease.”

On Sunday, April 14, Nicola and “Team Justine” will hit the trail to help create a world free of MS in the 2013 Walk MS event to be held in North Brunswick at Babbage Park. North Brunswick is one of 12 Walk MS sites that the New Jersey Metro Chapter of the National MS Society will run that day. The event will see over 12,000 participants with a goal of raising more than $2 million in an effort to create MS awareness, raise funds to support critical programs and services and help fund a cure.
