OLD BRIDGE — Provident Bank recently promoted Robert Vivo of Old Bridge to senior vice president. In this position, he is regional manager of 19 branches in Bergen, Hudson and Union counties, responsible for growing branch distribution business and leading branch managers to develop relationships and meet the needs of consumers and businesses in the communities they serve.
Vivo has more than 25 years of experience in the banking industry. He joined Provident in 2009 as vice president and regional manager, overseeing the bank’s branches in Hudson County, including Jersey City, Hoboken, West New York and Bayonne. Previously, Vivo worked as a district manager for Sovereign Bank in Staten Island and Brooklyn, where he managed branches and improved sales and service levels.
Vivo received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Manhattan. He is a member of the Ben-Bay Kiwanis Club and also spends time volunteering for the Lenape Chapter Boy Scouts.
