Firefighter Seriously Injured Battling Perth Amboy Blaze

PERTH AMBOY – A three-alarm fire at a multi-family home on Grove Street displaced 16 residents and left three firefighters injured this morning, according to an report.

One firefighter sustained serious injuries after becoming trapped in the building. He was airlifted to Saint Barnabas Medical Center for treatment, but his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.  The injuries to the two other firefighters were considered minor, according to the report.

Eleven crews responded and firefighters worked more than four hours to bring the blaze  under control.
