LINDEN — Jeff Baron, a Linden-bred writer whose career retrospective was the one of the most popular events at the Linden Public Library, returns on Thursday, April 18, at 7 p.m. with his just-published first novel, I Represent Sean Rosen.
Published by Greenwillow/HarperCollins, it’s a comic novel about a 13-year old boy with gigantic show biz ambitions, but no connections. Sean Rosen cleverly comes up with a way to break through in Hollywood.
In an hour-long program that will take place in the Columbia Bank Room at the Library, Baron will read chapters from the book, show some of Sean Rosen’s funny videos, and talk about how he managed to get a two-book deal from a major publisher as a first time novelist. Afterwards, he will sign books, which will be available to purchase.
Baron writes about Hollywood from personal experience. He sold four original screenplays, and wrote episodes of prime time TV series for all four major networks. He’s best known in recent years for his international hit play Visiting Mr. Green.
The free program will take place at the Linden Public Library, 31 East Henry Street. Light refreshments will be served. Sign up at the library’s circulation desk, or call 1-908-298-3830.
