Westfield Crossing Guards Admit Drinking Before Fatal Accident

ELIZABETH – Two Westfield crossing guards admitted to drinking before a fatal accident last January, according to an NJ.com report.

Charles Casiere, 85, pleaded guilty to drunk driving and hitting 68-year-old Patricia Currie with his Chevy Cavalier on Jan. 25, 2012. John Diaz, 74, who hit Currie after Casiere did, pleaded guilty to driving under the the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.

Both defendants are hoping to receive probation, according to the report.
