ROSELLE PARK — The rock and roll spirit is alive in Roselle Park High School’s spring production of “Grease.”
It’s 1959, and Rydell High School is full of rebellious teens. The new girl in town, prim and proper Sandy Dumbrowski, meets up again with her “summer love,” Danny Zuko, the local gang leader. But now Danny, who has his cool image to maintain, rejects Sandy. Will they ever get back together? The answer brings comedy, drama and loads of great songs and dances.
The talented cast includes Raquel Casso and Kathy Szoc sharing the roles of Sandy and Frenchy and John Montanez as Danny. The Burger Palace Boys are played by Zachary Lahr as Kenickie, Austin McCaffrey as Doody, Chris Tweed as Roger, and Kevin Metellus as Sonny. The Pink Ladies are portrayed by Deborah Berrios as Rizzo, Kelly Bulger as Jan, and Rachel Mucha as Marty.
Eric Witkowski is the play’s stage and vocal director; the staff includes choreographer Patti LaManna, costumer and assistant vocal director Linda Green, technical director Chelsea Kosty, set designer Woody Bodtmann, lighting designer Christopher Tereshko, and orchestra director Alison Cogswell.
The performance dates are Thursday, March 21st through Saturday, March 23rd at 7 pm with an extra Matinee performance at 2 pm on Saturday.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors.
Tickets will be available in the main office during school hours or at the door on the nights/afternoon of the performances.
Roselle Park High School is located at 185 West Webster Avenue.
