EDISON – The Edison Recreation Department announced programs and activities for Edison adults and teens that will begin the week of March 25. The programs for adults include aerobics, yoga, ceramics, watercolors & acrylics, chess and pool/billiards instruction. Teen classes include weight training, basketball, volleyball, chess, pool/billiards instruction and several art classes.
To participate in these classes, all adults must be registered prior to attending the class. Adult classes are free to senior citizens, who are registered with Edison Township and they must present their Edison Township Senior Citizen Identification Card. Teens in grades 6 through 12 must have a valid Edison Teen Center membership and must register for each class. Teen Center membership is $10 and is valid from July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013.
To register, mail or bring in your application to the Edison Recreation Department, located at the Edison Municipal Complex, 100 municipal Blvd. Edison, New Jersey.
Classes will be held at both the Stelton Community Center, 328 Plainfield Avenue, and the Minnie B. Veal Community Center, 1070 Grove Avenue.
