ROSELLE PARK — Continuing with their objective to use technology as a means to enhance communications with the community, the Roselle Park Board Of Education (BOE) has launched the official Roselle Park School District (RPSD) Facebook page (www.facebook.com/rpnjsd)
Even though public comments will remain disabled for now, visitors will be able to comment on posts made by the BOE but those messages will not be visible to the public. In addition to being able to privately contact the BOE through the Facebook Private Message feature, parents and residents can also visit the district’s web site at www.rpsd.org (link) to contact the BOE with any questions, comments, or concerns.
“As a Board, one of our goals is to improve and enhance our abilities to communicate with our community,” commented BOE member Jeof Vita, “Having a presence on Facebook and reaching people where they already are anyway is simply an extension of that goal. We will continuously try to find ways to reach out to our community and get the feedback that we need to keep our students moving in the right direction.”
Thursday night’s meeting – originally scheduled for Tuesday night – was postponed until March 21 to allow for the public hearing on the 2013-14 school district budget.
