CLARK – The Board of Education will hold its regular board meeting and a public hearing on the annual school budget on Thursday, March 21, at 7 p.m. in the council chambers, located at 315 Westfield Avenue, Clark.
The tentative budget, approved by the executive county superintendent of schools last week, includes $32.2 million for general fund expenses and $1.4 million for debt service expense. Of that, $27.8 million toward the general fund expenses and all but approximately $20,000 of the debt service expense would be raised through taxes.
Before the public portion of the meeting begins, the school board will meet in executive session in the media center of Arthur L. Johnson High School at 5:30 p.m.
