ELIZABETH– Phillips 66 Bayway Refinery in Linden has donated $5,000 to Josephine’s Place to assist with various programs for the women participants, such as, English as a Second Language, math and computer. In addition to these, other events will be offered to empower the women by gaining skills and self-confidence. They will bring these skills to their families and others in the community.
Sister Judith Mertz, SC, Director of Josephine’s Place stated, “Thank you, Phillips 66, for this important donation. Because of this grant, we will be better able to provide programs and experiences that will further the development of skills for the women in the city of Elizabeth and surrounding areas.”
Mary Phillips, Bayway Community Relations Coordinator, added, “Phillips 66 is committed to supporting organizations making an impact and improving lives of our neighbors in the surrounding communities.”
