WOODBRIDGE-On March 17, 1952, St. Cecelia’s in Iselin had a St. Patrick’s Day Dance with a “Wearin’ The Green” theme.

On March 16, 1953, St. Cecelia’s holy Name Society held “A Night in Ireland” in St. Cecelia’s Recreation Hall. An Irish Dance Contest was held with a grand prize of $25. Baron Bobock’s Orchestra performed at the dance.

On March 7, 1954, A St. Patrick’s Day Celebration was held by the St. Cecelia’s Holy Name Society in the school cafeteria. Donation was $1.

Bud’s Hut Bar & Grill on Route 1 in Avenel, held a St. Patrick’s Day Open House on March 18, 1967, complete with entertainment, dancing, hats and corned beef and cabbage. On March 16, 1968, they held a St. Patrick’s Day Eve Celebration.

On March 17, 1970, The Golden Age Club of Olsen Tower in Fords held a St. Patrick’s Day Celebration.
