EDISON – The Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County has announced several programs for April, including a chance to learn about Big Bands in classic Hollywood musicals, play bridge, learn about challenges facing Israel and take a trip to a dinner theater event.

BIG BANDS IN CLASSIC HOLLYWOOD MUSICALS
On Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from 1:30-2:30pm, Bill Levy will present historical information and video clips of some of the most famous bands of the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. The cost of this program is $11 or $8 for Community Campus members and is located at the JCC, 1775 Oak Tree Road, Edison. Contact Sue Horwitz 732-494-3232×603 to register or for further information.

DUPLICATE BRIDGE is held every Wednesday from 1:00-4:00pm at the Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County, Edison. Directed by Al Steinberger, you are welcome to come by yourself or with a partner. The fee is $8 or $6 for Community Campus members. Coffee and cookies are provided. AFTER THE ELECTIONS: WHAT PATH IS ISRAEL ON NOW?
Dr. Gilbert Kahn, Professor of Political Science at Kean University will help to sort out the future challenges faced by the Jewish State on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 10:30am. This program, to be held at the JCC of Middlesex County, 1775 Oak Tree Road, Edison is offered FREE AND TO THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY AS SPACE ALLOWS. Preregistration recommended by calling 732-494-3232.

PERI SMILOW CELEBRATES YOM HA’ATZMAUT IN CONCERT AT JCC OF MIDDLESEX COUNTY!!
Come together on Tuesday, April 16 at 1:00pm for a fabulous hour of entertainment at the JCC, 1775, Oak Tree Road, Edison. A concert with Peri Smilow always means an afternoon of sing-a-long and fun. But it is also much, much more! Peri’s music is thought provoking, spiritually uplifting and socially relevant. Audiences leave humming her music and ready to engage more fully in tikkun olam, the repair of the world. FREE AND OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY AS SPACE ALLOWS. TRIP TO THE LAKESIDE MANOR DINNER THEATRE
On Wednesday, April 10, 2013, join the JCC Senior Adult Club members as they enjoy lunch at this beautiful lakeside restaurant, the music of Jimmy Merchant’s NYC Big Band and highlighted entertainment with Deano Braco – “Elvis is in the Building”.
