CLARK — The American Heart Association’s Greater Union Heart Walk is set for Saturday, June 1, at Oak Ridge Park in Clark. Thousands of participants are expected to take a stand against heart disease and stroke while helping save lives by supporting lifesaving research and education.
Activities will begin at 8 a.m., and the opening ceremonies are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. The official ribbon cutting and the start of the Heart Walk will be at 10 a.m. The event will be held rain or shine. There will be health screenings, an interactive kids’ zone, CPR and exercise demonstrations, nutritional information, a DJ and live entertainment, and free giveaways.
