LINDEN — Police arrested three alleged drug dealers following a raid on an apartment on the 600 block of Worth Avenue last week, the result of a month-long investigation in response to citizen complaints of drug dealing in the area.

Michael Richardson, 28, Lonnie R. Richardson, 27, and Shaquita Cooper, 28, all of Linden, were arrested on March 5 and charged with two counts of distribution of cocaine and marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Members of the Linden Police Department’s narcotics unit conducted the raid on Tuesday, March 5, at 7:55 p.m. Detectives seized a half ounce of cocaine, a gallon bag filled with marijuana, eleven medium-sized bags of marijuana packaged for distribution, and $670 in U.S. currency

Detective Maurice Rawlins led the investigation.

The charges against the defendants are merely accusations and they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
