March 7 at 4:30 a.m. – Officer Brian Renda arrested Rahway resident Gary Sweet, 37. He was charged with possession of CDS, eluding, aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief. Bail was set at $150,000 and he was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail.
March 9 at 2:16 a.m. – In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway southbound ramp, Officer Christian Lott arrested Parlin resident Eduardo Miranda, 42, who was charged with DWI. He was subsequently released pending a court date.
March 9 at 7:53 p.m. – Officer Daniel Joy investigated a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle, which was parked on Dawn Drive.
March 9 at 9:26 p.m. – Officer Daniel Joy investigated a theft of a motor vehicle, which was removed from a parking lot at 77 Central Avenue.
March 10 at 3:52 p.m. – Officer Pedro Oliveira took a report of a hit and run motor vehicle accident that occurred on Coldevin Road. The incident is under investigation.
