LINDEN – City police captured a pet hybrid wolf that escaped from its owner’s home in Rahway on Monday, according to an NJ.com report.

The pet, a cross between a dog and a wolf, approached School No. 9 on Deerfield Terrace and McManus Middle School on Edgewood Road.

“It was really docile and not aggressive,” Linden acting Capt. James Sarnicki told NJ.com. “Eventually he became tired from his long walk and laid down.”

Sarnicki said the pet would be returned to its owner.
