Former Rutgers Stars Say Farewell To Fans Before NFL Draft

SAYREVILLE — Former Rutgers Scarlet Knights football stars Jawan Jamison and Khaseem Greene, both expected to be picked in this year’s NFL Draft, will meet New Jersey football fans at RedZone in Sayreville on Thursday, March 14.

Greene, a linebacker from Elizabeth, earned Big East Defensive Player of the Year in each of the last two consecutive seasons. A dominant defensive player during his days with Rutgers, Greene is one of the top outside linebackers in this year’s NFL Draft, and could be chosen in the second round.

Jamison, a redshirt sophomore running back, was Rutgers’ leading rusher the past two seasons. In 2012, he rushed for 1,075 yards and four touchdowns. Experts predict Jamison will be drafted as high as the third round in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Both Greene and Jamison will be on hand at RedZone, 960 Route 9 South, to greet fans. The event will run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, visit
