Perth Amboy Police Arrest Burglary Suspects

PERTH AMBOY — City police arrested two men who allegedly committed a burglary at a Keene Street address on Monday, Feb. 25. The arresting officer was kicked twice but was not severely injured.

Miguel Angel Perez-Aviles, 22, was charged with burglary, aggravated assault on a police officer, and resisting arrest. Andrew Jimenez-Martinez, 20, was charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools. Judge Maria Del Valle-Koch set bail at $35,000 for each suspect.

Officer Chris Joy was dispatched to an address on the 400 block of Keene Street at approximately 9:20 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, to investigated a report of a burglary in progress. The two suspects were arrested and charged.

The charges are merely accusations and both suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
