CARTERET – Mayor Daniel Reiman is holding a $150-a-plate breakfast in honor of state Sen. Barbara Buono, who is running for governor. The March 18 event will be held from 8:30-10 a.m. at the Carteret Holiday Inn, and tickets will be sold at the door.
“With unemployment stuck at 10%, our economy at a standstill, and millions of middle class families trying their hardest to make ends meet, it’s clear New Jersey is facing some steep problems,” says an emailed invitation to the fundraiser. “But I’m confident that with the right leadership, our state will emerge stronger than ever before. That’s why I’m proud to support Senator Barbara Buono for Governor.”
Those interested in attending the breakfast may RSVP by emailing email@example.com or calling 1-888-541-DEMS (3367.)
Buono is the only Democrat who has announced plans to challenge Republican Gov. Chris Christie so far.
