LINDEN —┬áLinden High School will present Seussical the Musical on March 14, 15 and 16.┬áRelive your childhood and revisit great stories like Horton Hears a Who, The Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham.

Seussical takes the audience on a mystical journey from the present day, through the Jungle of Nool and to Whoville. The show is narrated by the mischievous Cat in the Hat who is always up to no good as he/she tries to teach the citizens of the Jungle and of Whoville that it is ok to be different.

Seussical is largely based on the story of Horton the Elephant who is ostracized by the other jungle creatures because he thinks he has discovered a tiny planet on a small speck of dust. Horton vows to protect this planet no matter what because “A person’s a person, no matter how small.” On this tiny planet lives a tiny boy named Jo Jo who is having the same trouble as Horton because he thinks too much. Their friendship is grown out of this mutual bond.

Seussical has many more great components such as love and acceptance. As Dr. Seuss says, “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You’re on your own, and you know what you know. And you are the guy who’ll decide where to go.”

Performances begin at 8 p.m. each night, and tickets are $12.
