SOMERSET — More than 250 craftspeople from around the country will celebrate American craftsmanship and artistic talent at the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival in Somerset from Friday, March 8 through Sunday, March 10, at the Garden State Exhibition Center. The festival offers a unique opportunity for collectors, shoppers and casual browsers to truly experience “made in America” as they prepare for Spring fashion, home decorating and giving one-of-a-kind gifts for Mother’s and Father’s Day, graduations and weddings.

Artists in the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival highlight the strong interest in American-made products, and represent the finest in American ingenuity and creativity. Participants in the show are jury-selected based on their original designs and the quality of their handcrafted items. A growing number of artists are also using locally-sourced materials in their one-of-a-kind work in pottery, sculpture, glass, jewelry, fashion, wood, leather, metal, furniture, home accessories, photography and fine art.

“In addition to purchasing beautiful fine crafts at the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival, visitors have the joy and satisfaction of buying directly from the artists.” says Deann Verdier, president of Sugarloaf Craft Festivals. “The Festival celebrates the inspiration of the country’s finest artisans and gives our visitors a wonderful opportunity to support hardworking American artists.”

During the three-day event in Somerset, artists at the show will introduce their latest designs for spring. Visitors can find seasonal fashions in lighter fabrics and vivid colors, hand-crafted accessories for the garden and outdoor entertaining, memorable gifts for Mom and Dad on their special days and unique presents for June graduates and newly-married couples.

Family entertainment will include interactive children’s performances and live music. Master craftspeople will demonstrate their techniques as they produce their work on-site.

The Sugarloaf Crafts Festival in Somerset will be held Friday, March 8 and Saturday, March 9, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, March 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Garden State Exhibit Center, 50 Atrium Drive, Somerset, NJ 08873.

Admission is $8 when purchased online and $10 at the door, and is good for all three days of the show. Children under 12 are admitted free. Free parking is available on site. For more information, including exhibitor lists, driving directions and admission discounts, visit or call 1-800-210-9900.
