CLARK — Two weeks ago, the sixth grade students at Carl H. Kumpf Middle School in Clark were given the opportunity to visit Trenton to see the State House and visit the State Museum. The students were taken on a tour of the State House and were able to see where all the action in Trenton takes place. On the tour they saw pictures of many of the past Governors as well as members of the State Senate and Assembly. The tour guide was also able to bring the students into the Assembly Chamber, the Senate Chamber, and the main lobby underneath the gold leaf dome. Everyone seemed to really like the tour and enjoyed getting a “behind the scenes” look at what goes on in Trenton.
In the picture at the top a group of students can be seen posing in front of the signature gold dome of the State House. To the bottom left the group is listening to the tour guide explain the history behind the State House and on the bottom left Miss Franko, Nick Kelly, Tommy Netland and Courtney Brand pose for a picture in the State Assembly Chamber.
