Wardlaw-Hartridge Students Will Present Tarzan The Musical In March

EDISON — The Wardlaw-Hartridge School will present Tarzan as its spring musical production with four performances. The show will open Thursday, March 7, and run on consecutive nights through Saturday, March 9, with all performances beginning at 7:30 p.m. There will be a Sunday, March 10, matinee finale at 3 p.m.

Originally a Disney film, Tarzan was adapted for the Broadway stage in 2006 and was just released in 2012 for licensing by schools. Zfx Flying Effects is working on the show to set up rigging on the school’s stage to fly 11 students so Tarzan literally will be sweeping Jane off her feet.

Billy Nolan of Colonia and Mairead Forrest of Parlin lead a talented cast in the lead roles of Tarzan and Jane, respectively. Other major characters will be played by Neelam Patel of Edison, Alex Barbet of Plainfield, Harry T. Osborne of Plainfield, Julia Linger of Cranford, Michael Olano of South Plainfield, Claude Djan of Scotch Plains, Noah Fischer of Parsippany, Antonia Santangelo of Rahway, Josh Marseille of Linden and Nick Davis of Union.

Ensemble cast members include Dana Afflu of Edison, Steven Bessette of Scotch Plains, Aaliah Burney of Sewaren, Cecily D’Amore of Scotch Plains, Stan DeLaurentiis of Plainfield, Dazlyn Erachshaw of Iselin, Connor Forrest of Parlin, Katelyn Gadek of Perth Amboy, Karolyn Gonzalez of Plainfield, Lily Helander of Westfield, Victoria Howell of Piscataway, Lara Jasti of Colonia, Lauren Kisare of Bridgewater, Kelly Lawrence of Scotch Plains, Caroline McNamara of Westfield, Huma Naqvi of Carteret, Haley Needle of Scotch Plains, Carlin Schildge of Westfield, Tal Sherman of Plainfield, Charlotte Sweeney of Cranford, Emily Wexler of Scotch Plains and Lauren Yates of Piscataway.

Tickets are $10 for all patrons with the exception of $5 tickets offered to children 10 and under. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
