METUCHEN — Two physical educators from the Metuchen School District recently made a presentation at a state conference to show how to implement CrossFit, a broad, general and inclusive fitness program.

Nick Zaneto and Panos Tzetzos presented “CrossFit Across the Curriculum”  at New Jersey Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NJAHPERD) conference.  More than 200 educators that chose to attend the session, according to Zaneto.

“Educators were encouraged to send us the workouts that they will implement into their classes in the future, to our website entitled www.pewod.com.  This will create a shared database that physical educators can pull from to insert workouts into their own fitness lesson plans k-12.  We hope this will help to reduce the obesity rate of children k-12 in the state of New Jersey,” he said.
