CLARK — Recently, the Valley Road School PTA in Clark sponsored a family fun night called “The Valley Bowl” in the school’s gym. This year’s theme was all about football and cheerleading.

PTA Chairperson Ellen Wolfe organized the event for students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. The night wouldn’t have been complete without special volunteer guests from both the Arthur L. Johnson High School football team and cheerleading squad. Families came out sporting their favorite team gear and ready for a fun-filled time.

The students had fun with sand art, face painting, playing games on the Wii and on the smart board, tossing footballs with the football players and learning new stunts and cheers with the Johnson cheerleaders. According to Wolfe,  many of the students said their favorite part was seeing themselves on the jumbo-tron. Yummy snacks were also provided.
