Democrats’ LD 18 Ticket Takes Shape

MIDDLESEX COUTY – Two incumbent legislators formally announced their plans this week for this year’s election.

Assemblyman Peter J. Barnes will head the slate, running for the state Senate seat now held by Barbara Buono who is running for governor. Assemblyman Patrick Diegnan will seek re-election, joined by a successor for Barnes selected at the Middlesex County Democratic Committee’s convention on March 19.

The 18th Legislative District includes East Brunswick, Edison, Helmetta, Metuchen, South Plainfield, South River and Spotswood.
