NEWARK — Tedeschi Trucks Band will performs at  the New Jersey Performing Arts Center – Prudential Hall on Saturday, April 27 at 8 p.m. Tickets for the show will go on sale to the public Friday, Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. and range from $39-$79.

Tedeschi Trucks Band, the Grammy winning 11-member blues-rock group led by husband-wife team Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, have proven to be one of the hottest acts on the road today. The band, currently in the studio working on its next album, has just announced a select number of Northeast concert dates that includes New Jersey Performing Arts Center.

Tedeschi Trucks Band played to a packed house at NJPAC in October 2011. In a concert review from that show, the Newark Star Ledger said, “(TTB is)…a traditionalist’s dream come true: a traveling gang of superb, seasoned players who animate classic blues and rock material and their own strong compositions with energy, sensitivity and onstage camaraderie. If you love rock and electric blues, you just might leave the theater with your faith in live music renewed.”

In February 2012, Tedeschi Trucks Band’s debut album Revelator — praised as a “4-star masterpiece” by Rolling Stone — won the Grammy for Best Blues Album of the Year, while Trucks himself, was also honored with a lifetime Grammy for his longstanding membership in The Allman Brothers Band. TTB also dominated the 2012 Blues Music Awards with 4 trophies including Album of the Year, Band of the Year, Gibson Guitar Award (Derek) and Contemporary Blues Female Artist (Susan).

In May 2012, Tedeschi Trucks Band followed the success of Revelator with its first live album Everybody’s Talkin‘ – a double CD set of originals and vibrant covers that showcased the band’s dynamic energy on stage.

Tickets for the April 27 concert will be available online at www.NJPAC.org by phone at 1-888-GO-NJPAC (1-888-466-5722), or in person at NJPAC Box Office, One Center Street in downtown Newark.
