Clark Police Blotter: Officers Make Shoplifting & Drug Arrests

Feb. 12 at 3:21 p.m. – At 76 Central Avenue, Officer Martin Venezio arrested Winfield Park resident Robert Paton, 45, for allegedly shoplifting from the Shop-Rite Supermarket. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date.

Feb. 14 at 1:34 a.m. – In the vicinity of Williams Street, Officer Daniel Joy arrested Clark resident Steven Viana, 25, and charged him with possession of CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia.  He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date.

Feb. 15 at 3:28 p.m. – Officer Marty Venezio investigated a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle, which was parked at a Prospect Street residence.

Feb. 15 at 10:44 p.m. – Officer Marty Venezio investigated a report of a theft of items from a motor vehicle, which was parked at 225 Terminal Avenue.

Feb. 16 at 3:52 p.m. – At 76 Central Avenue, Officer Thomas Sarnecki arrested Cranford resident Marc Perrette, 30, for allegedly shoplifting from the Shop-Rite Supermarket. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date.

Feb. 16 at 6:20 p.m. – In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway northbound ramp, Officer Christopher Tuccio arrested Springfield resident Anthony Nieto, 23, and charged him with possession of CDS with intent to distribute and possession of CDS paraphernalia.  Also arrested was Newark resident Christopher Farinhas, 24, charged with possession of CDS with intent to distribute and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Both men were subsequently released on their own recognizance pending court dates.

Feb. 17 at 11:15 p.m. – In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, Officer Kenneth Gaulette arrested Carteret resident William Hedden, 26, and charged him with possession of CDS with intent to distribute and possession of CDS paraphernalia.  He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date.

Feb. 18 at 3:43 p.m. – Officer Christopher Tuccio investigated a report of a theft of items from a motor vehicle, which was parked at 225 Terminal Avenue.

Feb. 18 at 11:24 p.m. – In the vicinity of 108 Central Avenue, police arrested Newark resident Jabril Johnson, 27, on an outstanding warrant totaling $4,093.98 from the Camden County Sheriff’s Department.  He was subsequently turned over to the Camden County Sheriff’s Department.
