Police Seize $430 Worth Of Heroin When Arresting Perth Amboy Man

PERTH AMBOY — Police arrested a 50-year-old city man when a search of his apartment uncovered heroin with an estimated street value of $430.

Luis I. Saez was arrested on Feb. 8 after members of the Perth Amboy Police Department’s Special Investigations Bureau executed a search warrant at his apartment on the 300 block of Park Avenue and seized 43 decks of heroin from his residence.

Saez was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, and possession of heroin with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone.

Judge Maria Del Valle-Koch set bail at at $50,000 with no 10 percent option. Detective Mabner Terron led the investigation.

The charges against Saez are merely accusations; he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
