CLARK — Carl H. Kumpf students were introduced to the new Progressive Math Initiative curriculum (PMI) earlier this year. At the end of each unit, PMI provides a review so that students can prepare for the unit assessment. All students work on the review in groups and collaborate to find common solutions. After each group has completed the review, the class goes through each solution and displays answers on the board.

In order to extend the practice, classes play a Jeopardy-style game with questions similar to the PMI class work and review. Classes split into two teams and display their answers on white boards. Playing the game with PMI-focused questions, allows for students to have an extra opportunity to practice questions similar to those that will be on the assessment.
