NEW BRUNSWICK — Patrons are encouraged to sing along with the stars of Grease as State Theatre presents a unique interactive screening of the cult classic film on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 3 p.m. Sing-A-Long Grease will feature the original John Travolta/Olivia Newton-John movie musical Grease on a large 46’ screen, complete with on-screen lyrics, a free goodie bag, and a Grease costume competition. Tickets range from $18-22.

The show will start with a Sing-a-Long host who warms up the audience, trains them how to “hand-jive,” deploy the contents of their free goodie bags, and heckle in all the right places as well as judge the costume competition. Sing-a-Long Greasers will be decked out in their own versions of 50s high school garb worn at Rydell High, including poodle skirts and saddle shoes, black leather biker and powder-pink bomber jackets, chiffon scarves, and skinny ties. Costumes are not required but they are highly recommended.

Grease movie musical songs include “Summer Lovin,’” “Grease Lightning,” “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” “You’re The One That I Want,” and more.
