SAYREVILLE — The Board of Education voted to move the annual school election from April to November during its meeting last week.

Most school districts in Middlesex County – and throughout the state – made the move last year after the state passed a law allowing the change to reduce election costs.

Districts that switch to November school elections do not have to put their budgets up for a public vote as long as they remain within a two percent increase cap.
