CLARK — Students at Carl H. Kumpf Middle School in Clark participate in their early morning class called kTV. In the class, the students work hard to create an early morning television news show that airs live during homeroom every day.

This month, the students are working on a show called kTV StarPower, which is a lip-syncing competition in the style of American Idol. The students auditioned last month, and the results are being counted while the kTV class edits the footage. The three judges are Ms. Monsorno, Mrs. Yetsko, and Mr. Taillefer and the students will vote for who they think is the best.

The votes will be tallied and the top five will advance to the finale being held on Feb. 21, 7 p.m. at Carl H. Kumpf Middle School. Tickets will be $5, and the proceeds will go towards raising money for new KTV equipment.
