4 Generations Of The Norek Family Have Served South Amboy First Aid Squad

Since 1933, eight members of the Norek Family have served in the South Amboy First Aid and Safety Squad.

Back in 1933 John Norek joined along with 15 other members to organize the South Amboy First Aid and Safety Squad John served through the years up until 1945 when he retired. His son, Frank, joined the squad in 1947 and served until 1976 when he went on the rolls of life member. In July 1977 I, Frank’s daughter, joined the squad, making three generations.

Years later Frank’s son, Jamie, joined and is a life member. In 2000, Frank’s grandson, Tim Norek, joined for a short time, making this four generations. Later, Jamie’s son, Christopher, his daughter Debra followed and now his daughter Caitlin, was sworn in as a probationary member of SAFA on Feb. 11, 2013.
