EDISON — Ashni Mehta of Piscataway, a senior at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School, has advanced to finalist standing in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program by demonstrating, through distinguished performance, a high potential for future academic accomplishment. Mehta received a Certificate of Merit from Susan Swenson, director of college counseling, on Feb. 6. In September 2012, Mehta was named one of 16,000 semifinalists and remains in the running for a National Merit Scholarship.
