CLARK – At Carl H. Kumpf Middle School in Clark, Ms. Hamilton’s 8th grade students have begun the writing process with the first type of writing: the narrative. After learning about the different parts of the narrative, students completed story maps to help them organize their characters, conflict, and series of events. Being able to compose a well-written narrative will assist the students with their transition into speculative writing in preparation for the upcoming NJASK. Pictured above, Thomas Jennings, Matthew Janowski, Christie Bove, Cristina Casimiro, Sarah Dos Santos, and Alexa Depinho are using information from their story maps to draft their narratives.
