SBA Opens Disaster Loan Outreach Centers in Long Branch and Sayreville

STATE – Hurricane Sandy survivors will continue to be served when the Long Branch and Sayreville Disaster Recovery Centers become SBA Disaster Loan Outreach Centers on Monday, Feb. 11. The SBA Centers will remain at the current locations and continue the same operating hours of Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Centers are located at the following locations until further notice:

Monmouth County

Long Branch, NJ 07740
“Survivors who receive a SBA disaster loan application should submit it as soon as possible to receive consideration for a loan to help with their recovery,” said Frank Skaggs, director of SBA Field Operations Center East. “SBA’s Customer Service Representatives are on hand at the centers to provide one-on-one assistance in completing their applications,” Skaggs added.

Applicants may also apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure website at

According to SBA’s New Jersey District Director, Al Titone, the agency’s Office of Disaster Assistance has approved $408 million in loans to help New Jersey homeowners, renters, and small business owners recover from damages caused by Hurricane Sandy. Of that total, $369 million has been approved to homeowners and renters, while $39 million has been approved to small business owners.

The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is March 1, 2013. The deadline to return economic injury applications is July 31, 2013.
