STATE — Tonight’s Powerball jackpot is worth an estimated $208 million, or $130.7 million if the winner elects to take a one-time cash payout instead of an annuity paid over 29 years. The last time someone won the jackpot was on Dec. 26, 2012, when a ticket worth up to $50 million was sold in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Two lucky New Jersey Lottery players did win the Powerball third prize of $10,000 for the Saturday, Feb. 2 drawing. One of those winning tickets was sold at Hess #30500 in East Brunswick, while the other was sold at Corrado Wine & Liquor in Clifton.
According to New Jersey Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger, 49,138 other New Jersey Lottery players took home an estimated $265,525 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200.
The winning numbers for the Saturday, Feb. 2 drawing were: 11, 16, 33, 40 and 41. The Red Power Ball number was 34.
Tonight’s Powerball drawing will be shown live on the New Jersey Lottery’s website, NJLottery.net, at 11 p.m.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 175,223,510; the odds of winning a prize are 1 in 31.85.
