METUCHEN — On Saturday, Feb. 2, Edgar Middle School Girls Basketball Coach Emily Mertz and members of her seventh and eighth grade team attended the Metuchen Recreation Girls Basketball Clinic. The middle school team worked with aspiring players in each of the clinic’s three sessions: Grades 1 & 2, Grades 3 & 4, and Grades 5 & 6. These middle school players, many of which have come through the Recreation Program, demonstrated drills, coached teams, and offered inspiration to these future stars.
