[PHOTO] Every Child Can Be A Saint

PERTH AMBOY — During Catholic Schools Week, the students of Perth Amboy Catholic School presented “Every Child Can Be a Saint.” Every student from kindergarten to the 8th Grade drew their self portrait and thought about how they could become modern day saints. The cross-curriculum religion/art project was the idea of Rose Lavin Pennyfeather, the art teacher at Perth Amboy Catholic School, who was inspired by a sermon that Monsignor John Gordon gave at the beginning of the school year at the mass for teachers. The students put their minds, hearts and souls into their work which reflects the Catholic “Year of Faith” theme. The parents and community enjoyed the art exhibit on Wednesday, Jan. 30.
