LITTLE FERRY – A 21-year-old Elizabeth woman was charged last week in connection with an armed robbery at a Little Ferry nail salon on Dec. 19.
Whendy Laurencio-Blanco was charged with robbery and conspiracy for her alleged role in the holdup of Joy Nails and Spa. At the time they announced the charges against Laurencio on Friday, police were still looking for an accomplice in the robbery.
Laurencio-Blanco was being held in the Hudson County Correctional Center in Kearny on an unrelated charge when the new Little Ferry charges were filed. She is also charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and use of a minor to commit a criminal offense in connection with her alleged role in the armed robbery of a Papa John’s Pizza in East Rutherford on Dec. 12.
The charges against Laurencio-Blanco are merely accusations; she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
