UNION – The YM-YWHA of Union County is planning a bus trip to see Murray Horwitz’s one-man show, “An Afternoon of Sholom Aleichem,” at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark on Thursday, April 18.

The show recreates the heartwarming humor of famed Yiddish writer and storyteller Sholom Aleichem, who conveyed the feeling of Jewish life in turn of the century Russia.

Horwitz co-wrote the award-winning Broadway musical “Ain’t Misbehavin” and was  vice president of cultural programming for National Public Radio. He began his career in the arts as a circus clown.

Tickets are $45 for members and $55 for guests, and include transportation as well as an orchestra or mezzanine seat. Call Susan at 1-908-289-8112 ext. 34 to make your reservation.
