LINDEN — To build background knowledge of Japanese culture for their reading of “The Magic Treehouse-Night of the Ninjas,” Ms. Gil’s “Tools of the Mind” Kindergarten classroom at School 8 held a Japanese Tea Ceremony.  Ms. Gil dressed up as a Japanese host and served tea and cookies.  At the end, the children bowed and said, “arigatou,” “thank you” in Japanese.  Pictured here with Ms. Gil are Jose Fuentes, Fatima Garcia Pineda, Selena Lopez Zarate, and Jovina Fuentes.
