ROSELLE – Roselle residents and businesses are preparing for an annual “Day of Service” on Monday, Jan. 21 in honor of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
“Dr. King worked for increased opportunity for all Americans,” said Roselle Mayor Jamel C. Holley. “In this time of economic challenge for the nation, Dr. King’s vision of service and volunteering is more critical than ever. We need Americans to serve and strengthen their own and each other’s economic security.”
Holley described community service as a “powerful way” for citizens, nonprofits, the private sector and government to work together to meet critical needs and advance King’s dream of opportunity for all.
The day’s events are being coordinated through Holley, the Roselle Borough Council and the Roselle Office of Service Engagement (ROSE). To learn more or to volunteer, please visit www.BoroughofRoselle.com, call 1-908-671-1995 or email email@example.com
