LINDEN – Soehl Middle School in Linden was placed in lockdown for about a half hour this afternoon because of a report of a weapon on campus, school officials announced.
The school went into lockdown at 1:15 p.m. and police were called, according to Assistant Superintendent Danny Robertozzi. A BB gun was recovered and the lockdown was lifted at 1:40 p.m., according to Robertozzi.
There were no injuries reported and a normal schedule has been resumed, according to Robertozzi.
