Devils Re-Sign Zajac To Long-Term Contract

NEWARK – The New Jersey Devils have re-signed center Travis Zajac to a long-term contract, team President, CEO and General Manager Lou Lamoriello announced today. According to club policy, the terms of the contract were not disclosed.

“During his time in New Jersey, Travis Zajac has become a solid, all-situation player and one of the core leaders of our hockey club,” Lamoriello said.

Zajac, 27, will begin his seventh NHL season, all with the Devils, when the team opens its abbreviated 2012-2013 schedule against the Islanders on Saturday. The Devils will play their first home game on Tuesday, Jan. 22, when they host the Philadelphia Flyers at the Prudential Center.
