UNION COUNTY — The Union County Prosecutor’s Office arrested a 23-year-old reputed gang member on Wednesday who is accused of killing another man on Aug. 21, 2011 in Linden in what authorities believe was a gang-related shooting.
Eugene Cady, aka “FU,” was identified as a Rollin 30’s Crip by the prosecutor’s office. He is charged with the murder of Kason Wilson and was arrested while in jail on an unrelated gun conviction. Cady’s bail was set by Judge Stuart Peim at $1 million.
Wilson was shot and killed in the area of 913 Union Street in the City of Linden, said Union County First Assistant Prosecutor Albert Cernadas, Jr. According to the investigation, Wilson was a member of the G-Shine Bloods and his death was the result of warring rival gangs.
The charges against Cady are merely accusations; he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
