WATCHUNG– Mount Saint Mary Academy junior Cecilia DeFurianni of Union has been accepted into the Women’s Choir for the Central Jersey Region II Chorus. Auditions were held at JP Stevens High School in Edison on Dec. 8.

DeFurianni was selected from nearly 100 Soprano IIs. She will perform in concert on Sunday, Jan. 27 with approximately 200 of Central New Jersey’s finest singers.

Months of preparation went into learning the music for the audition, making the selection even more meaning. “I can’t express how much it means to me to be a part of such a prestigious group of singers,” DeFurianni said.

Mount Saint Mary Academy is a Catholic, independent school which provides a college preparatory education for young women in grades 9 through 12.
